The bigger your business is, the bigger your responsibility will be. Hiring more people is a good sign that your business is doing great. It means that you have the resources to pay for them and sustain them. Though bringing more employees in your business is a good sign, you must know that you are liable for whatever happens to them. As an employer, you are mainly responsible for your people and protecting them and it should be part of your game plan. As a form of protection, Workers Compensation Insurance or also known as Employers Liability Insurance is a must. To give you a background about it, here’s what you need to know: WHAT IS WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE
The Workers Compensation Insurance answers to your employees with incomes benefits and or replacement in case they become sick or catch an injury during work hours. This policy covers the employer and the employees for and who are in need of:
This insurance policy protects the employees for any form of compensation lost during the time they are in the recovery process from certain illness or injury. At the same time, it also secures the employer from any expense needed to disburse for the affected employee. EMPLOYER: DO I NEED WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE FOR MY PEOPLE Truth be told: You need insurance because you need something to protect you, your business, and your people. But, if you have only three to five staffs in your enterprise, you usually do not need to purchase Workers Compensation Insurance. If you already have more than five workers, the law will require you to get the insurance. It can also be a form of employee retention program. The more your employee knows that they are to have benefits in your company, the more likely they stay with you. HOW MUCH DOES WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE WILL COST ME Insurance is not an expense. In fact, it is an investment that will protect you when the time comes. Instead of thinking about the amount of money you will be shelling out, concentrate on the benefits that the insurance gives you. For the Workers Compensation Insurance, the rates depend on the coverage you choose. But to give a ballpark figure, it could cost you at least 30 cents per $100 of your employee salary wage. Being able to protect your employees is important. Aside from the insurance to retain them, it is also your responsibility to safeguard them. What I like about worker's compensation insurance is that it covers your employees with benefits just in case an accident happens and the employee would eventually have to take the case to court because what if the company they work for doesn't have insurance or the insurance company is trying to lowball them with a small settlement that they're not going to readily accept. This particular kind of compensation is very important, especially in the field of work that involves heavy labor since accidents are prone to happen while out on the job. If I had to handle a compensation case, the first thing I would do is to contact a lawyer and ask about how the settlement can be reached without having to go to court.

In every business, it is a must to get workers compensation insurance when it comes to benefits and replacement no matter how big or small the company is. I found it interesting when you said in your article that the employer's action goes a long way towards showing their employees that they are valued and care for. It would be good to add coverage to the policy, such as medical attention, rehabilitation needs, disability and death benefits.

It's good to know that Workers Compensation Insurance covers things like disability benefits because I was wondering how to cover that for a while. I just started a new business and my business partner suggested that we get all the insurance we need. She's right, so I'll probably get worker's compensation insurance, just in case.

It was interesting to learn about how a business that has more than five people working for them should get worker's comp insurance and can be a big benefit to the company that can protect their employees. I can understand how it could be really useful for a business to make sure that it can be a lot safer while they work and prepared for every situation possible. Getting the right amount of coverage from a professional could be really useful and allow them to feel more secure and have a better community.

I like how you said that you need Workers' Compensation Insurance to protect you, your business, and your people. I think a lot of businesses assume they don't need it because they have other forms of insurance to cover their assets. I hope they learn that Workers' Compensation Insurance is important for employees and retaining them.

It's good to know that workers' compensation is for any compensation lost during the time in which an employee was recovering from an accident. A lot of people might not understand this completely. I think it would be best to get a professional lawyer to help you out in case an employer doesn't do there part.
